Turn On Two-Step Verification for Your Email
26
September

Your email account resets every other password you own. Two-step verification adds a code or prompt on your phone, so a stolen password alone does not get a thief in.

Gmail

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com and select Security.
  2. Select 2-Step Verification and follow the prompts.

Outlook.com or Hotmail

  1. Go to account.microsoft.com and select Security.
  2. Choose Manage how I sign in and turn on two-step verification.

iCloud Mail

Apple turns on two-factor authentication for most Apple Accounts. Check under Settings, your name, then Sign-In & Security.

Save the backup codes in a safe place. Backup codes get you in if you lose your phone.
